Bio Basilikum aus kontrolliert biologischem Anbau in Ägypten mit typisch würzig-frischem und leicht süsslichem Aroma. Die gerebelten grünen Blätter eignen sich vielseitig für Pasta, Tomatengerichte, Gemüse, Saucen, Dips und mediterrane Gewürzmischungen.
Nach der Ernte werden die Basilikumblätter schonend getrocknet, von gröberen Pflanzenteilen getrennt und auf eine Körnung von etwa 1–5 mm gerebelt. Dadurch entsteht ein fein bis leicht flockiges Kraut, das sich einfach dosieren und gleichmässig in Speisen verteilen lässt.
Getrocknetes Basilikum ist besonders praktisch für die tägliche Küche und kann sowohl in warmen als auch in kalten Gerichten verwendet werden. In Verbindung mit Flüssigkeit entfaltet sich das typische Basilikumaroma besonders gut.
Herkunft
Das Basilikum stammt aus Ägypten. Das warme Klima und die hohe Sonneneinstrahlung bieten gute Bedingungen für den Anbau aromatischer Kräuter.
Anbau / Herstellung / Ernte
Das Basilikum wird nach den Richtlinien des ökologischen Landbaus kultiviert. Nach der Ernte werden die Blätter schonend getrocknet und anschliessend auf eine Körnung von etwa 1–5 mm gerebelt.
Besonderheiten
Durch die gerebelte Form lässt sich das Basilikum besonders einfach dosieren und in Saucen, Dressings, Gewürzmischungen und andere Speisen einarbeiten. Die getrockneten Blätter nehmen beim Kontakt mit Flüssigkeit wieder etwas Feuchtigkeit auf und geben dabei ihr Aroma ab.
